Step-by-Step Guide: Creating an MCP Server with Vectorize for Invoice Data Analysis
Step 1: Configure Vectorize Pipeline
Create a Vectorize Account : Visit the website https://vectorize.io/ and Sign up for a Vectorize account and log in.

Set Up a New RAG Pipeline:
2.1 Select "New Pipeline" from the dashboard.
2.2 Add "File Upload" as the source connector.
2.3 Upload your business invoices and verify that the pipeline processes them.
2.4 Configure the Extractor and Chunker: set the extract strategy to "Vectorize Iris" with Chunk Size (Token) = 500 and Chunk Overlap = 100.
2.5 Select "Vectorize" (Built-in) as the Embedder and choose "OpenAI v3 small" as the embedding model. Note: This requires an OpenAI API key to input in this step.
2.6 Select "Vectorize" (Default) as the vector database.
2.7 Click the "Update RAG pipeline" button in the top-right corner.
2.8 The RAG pipeline status will change to "Processing." Wait until it shows "Listening" and verify that the total documents, pages, and vectors have updated.

Figure 13: Wait until RAG Pipeline Status as “Listening” and check all total documents, total pages and total vectors are updated.
Prepare for Connect with MCP Server
Select your business pipeline name.
Click the "Connect" menu option.
Copy the "Organization ID" for later use.
Copy the "Pipeline ID" for later use.
Generate a token and download the authentication token for later use.
